| "My husband
and I met with him last summer. We wanted to become small business owners, but had no direction. We heard
about SCORE and got in contact with Mr. Rosetti. We met and he had several good suggestions for us. We put our new
info into action and started our own lawn and landscaping business, Fox Valley Services. So
far, all is going well. In addition to installing lawns, we would like use our real
estate and construction experience to refurbish/rehab real estate properties, or build a spec home to
offset the loss of income during the winter months. I think this plan will work
out to our benefit. I just wanted to let Mr. Rosetti know that I appreciated his time, most of all, and
that his information was taken seriously by us, and we now have our own business. We missed a
seminar last fall due to moving, but hope to attend others to make the most out of our business
that we can. Thank you again for your time and information." |

Special" Gifts & Collectibles, Roger & Linda Kusserow |
| "In the spring of
1999, we decided to pursue our dream/goal of owning our own gift and
collectible business. Although we had already done a lot of research, we
know there was much more information to gather. A neighbor of ours
had at one time been involved with SCORE and always spoke so positively
about his experiences. So we contacted SCORE through the Fox
Cities Chamber of Commerce and were paired up with Bill DeVine.
Bill met with us on a regular bases and was not only a great listener
but also provided us with many ideas and suggestions. He was our
"rock" and our "go to" when we didn't know what do
do next. And once our business was up and running, Bill continued
to meet with us on a regular basis which was so much needed and
appreciated. We will be always be so grateful to SCORE and to Bill
for all of his guidance, support, time and enthusiasm. We couldn't
have done it without him!
This fall (October 2004) we will
celebrate the fifth anniversary of "You're Special Gifts &
Collectibles. We are very excited about that. We also feel
very fortunate to be able to offer the wide range of quality gifts and
collectibles to the Fox Cities area. We felt strongly from the
very beginning that this area would benefit from a store such as ours
and the support from the entire region has proven that. It is our
hope to continue to be a very vibrant business for many more years to
come. " |
